Richmond:
Bob Gagnon and Nick Warner — 6-8 pm
Bob Gagnon and Nick Warner have been playing together since 1990. Their repertoire showcases jazz, blues, folk, and Americana, with nods to the bluegrass and rockabilly music Bob grew up playing with his father.
Waterbury:
Christie Woods-Lucas — 7-9 pm
Christie Woods-Lucas is the lead singer and front woman of Dirty Bird, an indie-folk band from New York, NY quickly making its name known throughout the east coast. On her solo tours without the band, Christie returns to the natural environment of the American folk spirit she so effortlessly embodies. Her innovative guitar arrangements provide the only accompaniment to poetry that defies critical analysis as it slips through the brain and slides straight into the heart. There's something particularly timeless about the songs Christie shares with the world; the compositions seem at once brand new and exciting, yet are imbued with an undeniable familiarity. The result is a wholly original sound, captivating and soothing. Without the 6-piece instrumentation of Dirty Bird behind her, Christie's songs stand naked and vulnerable, driven by chest-swelling melodies and lifted by the power of her voice.
