November Monthly Wine Features
The holidays are upon us and the temperatures have dropped which has us thinking about red wine. Serious red wine. Red wine that makes you stop for a moment and wallow in the long, lingering finish of a beautifully made Barolo.
We’ll be compiling a list of some suggested pairings for your Thanksgiving feast in the coming weeks (keep an eye out for it at our Jericho location!) but in the meantime…here are a few favorites already on our shelves
Remelluri Rioja 2015
85% Tempranillo 10% Garnacha, 5% Graciano
Aged 21 months in oak and another 5 years in bottle, sultry and elegant…Rioja like you’ve never had before
Monte dall’Ora Vino Nato Disobbediente Valpolicella
Biodynamic blend of 50% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 10% Molinara/Oseleta
A light, easy drinking take on Valpolicella “formerly and mainly just a wine produced for the family and their friends”
Forge Cellars Cabernet Franc
Single vineyard Cabernet Franc
Vines planted 2016, “dark and voluptuous” without the green character one might find in a Cab Franc from the Loire Valley
Giulia Negri Marassio Barolo
Single vineyard Barolo from the highest point in the region
Vines planted in 2004/2006, aged 30 months in Slavonian oak
